DERMAL FILLERS
AVAILABLE AT HEIGHTENED AESTHETICS
Dermal fillers are injectable treatments used to temporarily add volume, improve facial contours, restore structural support or soften selected lines and folds. Depending on the product and treatment area, filler may be used to address age-related volume loss, enhance facial proportions or create subtle definition.
At Heightened Aesthetics, dermal filler treatment begins with an assessment of your facial anatomy rather than a predetermined number of syringes or a standardized injection pattern. We evaluate facial structure, volume distribution, tissue quality, symmetry, movement and the relationship between the areas being treated.
We offer hyaluronic acid fillers from the Restylane®, Juvéderm® and Teoxane RHA® collections, as well as Radiesse®, a calcium hydroxylapatite filler. Product selection depends on your anatomy, facial movement, tissue characteristics, treatment area and desired outcome.

RESTYLANE
A collection of hyaluronic acid fillers with formulations designed for different treatment areas and clinical purposes, including selected applications involving the lips, facial wrinkles, cheeks, chin and under-eye hollows.

JUVEDERM
A collection of hyaluronic acid fillers with formulations used for selected concerns involving the cheeks, chin, temples, jawline, lips, under-eye hollows and facial wrinkles or folds.

RHA COLLECTION
A collection of resilient hyaluronic acid fillers designed to support natural-looking results at rest and in motion.

RADIESSE
A calcium hydroxylapatite filler used for selected facial wrinkles and folds and, depending on the formulation, jawline contour. Radiesse has different physical and biostimulatory characteristics from hyaluronic acid fillers.
WHAT DERMAL FILLERS CAN ADDRESS
Depending on your anatomy, goals and the product selected, dermal filler treatment may be considered for:
- Age-related facial volume loss
- Changes in cheek or midface contours
- Lip volume, shape or definition
- Chin projection and contour
- Jawline definition
- Temple hollowing
- Selected facial lines, wrinkles and folds, including perioral lines, nasolabial folds (“smile lines”) and radial cheek lines
- Under-eye hollows in appropriately selected patients
- Facial asymmetry or disproportion
- Comprehensive facial balancing
Not every concern should be treated by adding volume directly to the area where it appears. For example, a fold or shadow may be influenced by changes elsewhere in the face. Your provider will assess the face as a whole before recommending a treatment area or product.
FACIAL BALANCING VS TREATING AN INDIVIDUAL AREA
Patients often begin by asking about filler for one feature, line or shadow. However, the appearance of that area may be influenced by facial structure, volume distribution, skeletal support, tissue position and the proportions of adjacent features.
Facial balancing does not mean placing filler throughout the entire face or attempting to create standardized proportions. It means evaluating how the features relate to one another and determining whether treatment in one or more carefully selected areas may improve overall balance.
In some cases, a small and focused treatment may be appropriate. In others, treating the requested area alone may not produce the best result. Your provider will explain what is contributing to your concern, what filler can realistically improve and when another treatment—or no treatment—may be the better recommendation.
OUR APPROACH TO DERMAL FILLER TREATMENT
Effective filler treatment involves more than selecting a brand or injecting a specific number of syringes. Product properties, placement, depth and treatment technique must be matched to the patient’s anatomy and the purpose of treatment.
Before making a recommendation, we assess facial structure, volume distribution, skin and tissue quality, baseline asymmetry, movement and previous injectable treatments. We also consider how the proposed treatment may affect the face from multiple angles and during expression.
Our goal is not to make every feature larger, eliminate every line or create a standardized appearance. It is to use clinical judgment and conservative treatment planning to support facial balance while preserving the characteristics that make you recognizable.
Your provider will review your medical history, medications, previous procedures and any factors that may affect treatment safety, healing or results before treatment.
NOT SURE WHICH FILLER IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
You do not need to select a filler brand or determine the number of syringes before your appointment. During your consultation, we will assess your anatomy, discuss what you would like to improve and explain whether filler—or another treatment approach—is appropriate.
Your provider will recommend the product, treatment areas and amount based on the treatment plan rather than selecting a product solely because of brand preference.

Facial Balancing Packages
Customized package pricing available
Facial balancing packages are designed for patients whose goals may require treatment across multiple areas rather than focusing on one feature in isolation. Depending on your anatomy and treatment plan, a package may include multiple syringes of dermal filler, biostimulatory treatments or a combination approach.
Package recommendations are based on an in-person facial assessment. Your provider will explain the proposed products, treatment areas, staging and total cost before treatment begins.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How many syringes will I need?
There is no standard number of syringes that is appropriate for every patient. The amount depends on your anatomy, treatment area, existing volume, degree of correction desired and whether treatment is performed in one visit or staged across multiple appointments.
Can dermal filler be dissolved?
Hyaluronic acid fillers may be treated with hyaluronidase when clinically appropriate. Radiesse is not a hyaluronic acid filler and cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase. Dissolving filler is a medical procedure with its own limitations and risks.
Do you offer dermal fillers at both locations?
Yes. We offer dermal filler options at both our Seminole Heights, Tampa and Lakewood Ranch locations.
